Drawing is my passion. I have always loved art. As a child I would accompany my Mum, an accomplished oil painter, to art classes.  I would watch in awe of her as she created incredible images from paints and a flat white canvas. Her passion and love of art captivated me and I remember spending endless hours, day after day, lying on my bedroom floor drawing with crayons, pens and pencils.

 

It was this love of art that ultimately led me pursue a fulfilling and successful career in graphic design and marketing. I stopped full time work few years ago to become a mum to my two beautiful kids. I have continued to draw during this time - it's my favourite way to relax.

 

My favourite drawing subject has always been faces. I love to explore the contours and features of an unique and individual face and translate that onto paper. Over the years, my portraits have taken on a quality of photo realism and I love the challenge of making my portraits as close to a photograph as possible. In fact, many people have commented that, at first, they thought their portrait was a black and white photo - a great compliment of course!
