10% Discount: Allow Fine Etch to use your portrait in our website gallery and marketing material* and, to show our appreciation, you will receive a 10% discount on the following prices.

Additional Subjects: Each additional subject (eg. person, pet) is $30 (A3 only). A maximum of five subjects is recommended for A3 portraits.

Electronic .jpeg version on a CD: $25 per CD
I will scan or photograph your portrait/s and create a high resolution JPEG. This can then be used at your discretion in the future. You can use it just like a digital photograph and the possibilities are endless. Use it to create prints of your portrait, calendars, mugs, t-shirts, canvases, cards etc. You can also email it to  family and friends.

Text Inscriptions: $1 per word
Include a personal message on your portrait like song lyrics, a quote, a short poem or a special date to make your portrait even more personal. Choose from a variety of font styles and I will hand draw each letter in dark pencil. You will receive a mockup to check and approve with your inscription layed out as it will appear on your portrait before I draw it on.

Portrait Sizes:
A4 page size: portrait 297mm high x 210mm wide OR landscape 210mm high x 297mm wide
A3 page size: portrait 420mm high x 297mm wide OR landscape 420mm wide x 297mm high
Other sizes are available upon request.  Portraits can be custom sized to suit a particular frame.

What you will receive:
A Fine Etch portrait is a highly detailed drawn representation of the photograph you supply on white paper. Your portrait will depict the subject/s face, hair and shoulders presented on a white background. I generally do not draw backgrounds nor patterns or details on clothes (unless specifically requested) as I feel it detracts from the subject's face.  Portraits are supplied unframed and framing is the purchaser's responsibility. You also have the option to purchase a high resolution electronic version (jpeg) of your portrait/s burnt to a CD. 

Your Proof: Fine Etch will email you a low resolution PDF of the scanned/photographed proof for your approval at various stages of the drawing process. This proof will have a Fine Etch watermark on it. This watermark is electronic only and will not appear on your final portrait.  Once Fine Etch receives your final written approval we will send you a tax invoice.

Payment Options: Payment options will be listed on your tax invoice.  Payment can be made by either direct deposit, money order, cash or PayPal. Portraits cannot be sent until full payment has been received.

Postage, Courier or Collection options: Once we receive full payment your portrait will be sent to you either via your choice of post or courier. Additional charges apply and you will be advised of this cost prior to commencement of your portrait. Posted/couriered portraits will be overlayed with a thin piece of paper, placed in a plastic envelope, sandwiched between two sheets of polystyrene and placed into a padded cardboard box. Alternatively, you may collect your portrait from Fine Etch on Brisbane's northside. 

Copyright:  After viewing your final proof, should you decide not to purchase your finished portrait or if you fail to contact Fine Etch regarding your decision to purchase or not purchase your portrait, Fine Etch will retain the copyright on the original portrait. Fine Etch reserves the right to display an electronic version on our website and other marketing material as well as the right to display the original artwork at various art shows, markets or events at our discretion.

Turnaround Time: please allow up to 6 weeks from the time Fine Etch receives your photograph for your portrait to be created and a further week for your portrait to be posted/couriered to you. Please let Fine Etch know if you need your portrait urgently. Additional fees may apply. 

Please note:

• Please read our Photograph Guidelines for detailed information on photo suitability.
• Fine Etch cannot guarantee a quality result from a photograph in which the subject is too far away, does not show fine detail or is fuzzy. Fine Etch will advise you if your photograph is not suitable prior to commencement of your portrait.
• Special Offer Discount: "Marketing Material" may include (but is not limited to) flyers, advertisements (print and web), brochures (print and web), website gallery and online use.
